Immunizations

General Information on Immunizations
Immunizations are an important part of a healthy community. Vaccinating both children and adults helps protect them and others against many devastating diseases.

At this time, the immunizations offered at Carroll County Health Department are provided by the VFC (Vaccines for Children) program and Section 317 funding through the State of Missouri.  We can also now bill insurance for vaccinations.

All immunizations are administered according to recommendations of the Missouri Department of Health and the Advisory Committee on Immunizations Practices (ACIP).

Childhood Immunizations
Any child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will be asked to sign in and at that time you will be given an immunization screening and authorization form to fill out, giving us permission to vaccinate your child. You will be given Vaccine Information Sheets (VIS) for each vaccine your child will receive that contains information about the disease and the vaccine.
