Women, Infants & Children (WIC)

A supplemental food program federally funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that includes special funding for breastfeeding promotion. To qualify you must be a resident of Missouri, meet certain income requirements, and have a health or nutritional risk determined by a health assessment. More information about income guidelines can be obtained at a local provider or at http://www.dhss.mo.gov/wic.

The food packages provide supplemental foods designed to meet the special nutritional needs of pregnant, breastfeeding, or non-breastfeeding postpartum women, infants, and children up to five years of age. The program also offers nutrition information/education, referrals to health care providers and social service agencies, health screenings and risk assessments.

WIC is served in our office on the first four Tuesdays and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursday of each month. (excluding holidays)
